Scan the calendar first
The monthly calendar shows where spending clusters. Start there before reading individual transactions. Large spending days and payment days stand out immediately.
Open a few high-spend days
Use the day view to inspect the exact transactions behind outlier days. This is usually enough to understand whether a spike came from bills, shopping, transfers, or one-off purchases.
Look for repeatable actions
The goal is not perfect categorization. The goal is to find the next behavior change: cancel something, reduce a recurring purchase, or time payments more clearly.
